Courses in Business Administration are designed to instill the skills and knowledge required of today’s modern businesses. Available across all three strands (TFS, PLA & ApprenticeshipNI), learners benefit by gaining practical hands-on experiences through work-placements or employment whilst aquiring theoretical knowledge relevant across the industry.
Following successful induction to the course, optional units are chosen from an extensive list to best match learner requirements and those of the employer/placement provider. An example of the units available at level 2 are:
Manage own performance in a business environment
Communicate in a business environment
Design and produce documents in a business environment
Plan and organise an event
Make and receive telephone calls
Provide reception services
Deliver, monitor and evaluate customer service
Use office equipment
Assessment of competency is verifed in a variety of ways including observation of performance at work, assignments and questionning.
We have a bank of employers based in the local and surrounding areas who work with us in conjunction with the Council for Administration, and The OCR Awarding Body, to maximise the learning experience for all learners. In tandem, the recent upgrading of our computer systems and facilities including the web-based learning tool SmartScreen, ensures that learners receive the most up-to-date training/knowledge possible.
